Hopefully you've noticed that this newsletter looks a bit different. I've been rejigging my coaching website, newsletter and especially my offering, to make it feel a bit more like me.

Because here's what you need to know about me – I work fast. Hopefully if you've worked with me, you've realised that I don't make people sign up for packages that are six or 12 weeks sessions, as many coaches do. Often we're done in two to three weeks – although we'll take more time if it's required.

As a business model, that's not great. Ha. But it works for my clients, and that's what this is really about. And my buddy and coaching colleague, Ruth, pointed out that actually, it's a strength. And it's something that differentiates me as a coach.

It did get me thinking, though – so often we get stuck thinking that something is a weakness. We press our hands to our foreheads, and beat ourselves up and wish we were better... or is that just me?

But we can look at those same weakness as something more neutral – a trait, a characteristics. And with someone else to interrogate our thinking the way Ruth did for me, we can reframe them, reposition them and use them as strengths. That feels like a win to me.

Sometimes it just takes a chat with someone who's not invested in the stories you tell yourself about your own failings to help you see things differently. And that's what people like Ruth and I do.
